about me

About

I’ve lived in Glasgow for over 30 years, though I grew up in the Western Isles and the north of Scotland, where my dad was a Church of Scotland minister. Church life has always been part of my story, and it’s given me a real sense of community and connection to the Church of Scotland over the years.
I became a Christian at 14, and my faith was shaped through family, church, Scripture Union camps, youth groups, and a Billy Graham rally. Life hasn’t always been easy—I found school challenging and struggled with confidence when I was younger—but looking back, I can see how God was gently guiding me, even when I couldn’t see it at the time.

I’m a warm, chatty person who loves being with people. I’m also a wife and mum to three children, and my faith keeps me grounded in the middle of busy family life.

I’ve been part of Cathcart Church of Scotland for nearly 18 years, and since becoming an elder in 2023, I’ve helped create opportunities for people to connect—through women’s events, days away, cafés, and small groups where people can explore faith and ask honest questions.

I really enjoy getting alongside people, especially those who might be unsure about faith. I love creating relaxed, welcoming spaces where people can chat, feel at ease, and explore what faith might mean for them.

I’m really looking forward to meeting you and being part of OrchardLea Community Church, connecting with the wider community and supporting spaces like The Black Door Shop.

I am excited to meet you in my role as community & faith worker and see the light already shining in this place.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
